Woman dies in Roller Coaster Fall at Six Flags Over Texas

This is tragic. Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the victim.

It seems like more and more of these roller coaster and theme park accidents are happening every year. And now it appears from some witnesses that the accident could have been averted, had safety precautions been thoroughly followed. I hope Six Flags Over Texas is going to examine this incident carefully.

There are approximately 4500 amusement park injuries every year, mostly youth. Let us all try to prevent these unfortunate incidents. The parks need to go the extra mile to promote safety, and the public needs to be alert and mindful of following rules and assisting in their own safety.
