It would be so easy to pile into a bet on the Arizona Diamondbacks today playing the Colorado Rockies in Denver. Arizona’s Zac Gallen is one of MLB’s best pitchers and Colorado is throwing 0-2 Kyle Freeland with a 27.00 ERA. We’re resisting the temptation.
Freeland’s 2 starts have been on the road. He has been much better in hitter-friendly Coors Field during his career, so we’re discounting those bad numbers. Kyle has a winning record at home for a team that has a losing record for many of those seasons. He is 12 games under .500 for his career and 2 games over .500 at home.
If we absolutely had to bet this game, we might take the F5 under, but we are staying away.
