The Los Angeles Rams are a professional American football team based in Inglewood, California. The Rams compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the National Football Conference (NFC) West division. The team was founded in 1936 as the Cleveland Rams and moved to Los Angeles in 1946. The Rams have won four NFL championships, most recently in Super Bowl LVI.

History

The Rams were one of the original eight teams in the NFL when it was founded in 1920. The team played its first six seasons in Cleveland, Ohio, before moving to Los Angeles in 1946. The Rams quickly became one of the most successful teams in the NFL, winning two championships in the 1950s (1951 and 1955).

The Rams moved to St. Louis, Missouri, in 1995. They spent 21 seasons in St. Louis, during which time they won two more championships (2000 and 2001). The Rams returned to Los Angeles in 2016.
