Sterling Banned from NBA

The NBA (National Basketball Association) has banned Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling from basketball for life, effective immediately. The NBA also fined him $2.5 million for racist remarks attributed to him in recordings posted online.

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver announced this Tuesday, April 29, 2014, via a live press conference.

Adam Silver said he and the NBA were outraged and offended by the comments and views of Donald Sterling. After their official investigation, they confirmed that Sterling was the voice in the recording, and that he did indeed share the views expressed in the now infamous recording.
