College Basketball Notes, John Fisher, Pro Handicapper

We ate crow last night going against Louville figuring that UNC could be a legit team that can beat a good team on the road. So far this year there are a lot of good teams but nobody that makes the definition left……nobody.. If you can’t beat good teams on the road your not legit….UNLV has played poorly on the road with its lone win versus a soft Utah State team. So a 1-5 record won’t build any confidence with the exception of backing the Home team….New Mexico….Williams and Brown give the Lobos a nice one two punch …Ill take the Lobos big here …77-70 New Mexico -2.5

WINNER/.GUARANTEE New Mexico -2.5 wins 87-83 but it was not easy. UNLV hit 12 three pointers but as in most College Basketball games Home cooking looms large for the FT line 36 FTs to 1 in favor of home team.

Terps have way too much size here for this to be a close game. Of course, saying that when was the last time Maryland had a blowout cover with the exception of Ohio State at Home. They do play to the level of their competition so this can be conceived as dangerous or even maybe reckless play. However, Nebraska is almost 3″ less per player and what I Saw in a less talented Purdue team just do to the Huskers has me convinced even Maryland who plays down to competition and has a coach that loves ugly victories will cover this line by DDS…Guarantee Terps

Maryland 70-65 LOSS

Vegas is making a boatload in in college hoops but getting its ass kicked in NBA…now you see why…this game had no business being this close…..Maryland seems to enjoy these games….13/22 FTs… That has not happened all year…..also,18 turnovers…amazing how they play with complacency….will also, say teams like to play Maryland…they don’t play other teams with this type of heart….that is a given.

Maryland -5.5
