Love this beat. Clever lyrics too. Not just in its contrasts or classic paradoxes, but also in its nuances of Nietzsche. One of the lines states “Hope is a four-letter word,” which reminds me of Nietzsche who said, “Hope is the worst of evils, for it prolongs the torment of man.” Can’t say I entirely agree, but it’s a valid interesting point, albeit dark.
Friedrich Nietzsche also said, “I would only believe in a God who could dance.”

Now this I agree with 100%.
I wonder if the lines downgrading money also represent the shifting attitudes towards money via the next 20s generation. I like this too. Money is valuable and I prefer to have a lot of it…but I’ve also made choices many times in my life to choose the route with less money because of the attachments or darkness big money brought with it…and I’m happier for it. And more proud of what I’ve contributed to the world, even if in small amounts.
