Las Vegas officials gathered today at the “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign to declare March 15, 2015 “Ringo Starr Day.”

The rock-and-roll icon was presented with proclamations by Clark County Commissioner Lawrence Weekly, Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn G. Goodman and Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority President/CEO Rossi Ralenkotter.

The ceremony also included a cement handprint that will be unveiled at a later date by Paul Casey Productions, which coordinated the event.
