AGGIES defend the three ball really well. They will have to versus the Northern IOWA Panthers who have one the most prolific shooters in the nation Jesperson and Buchanon who both hit over 42% from the three point line. However, I see a couple things playing out here. The altitude of New Mexico and the fact Northern Iowa has not played a defense and done so away from home against a hostile crowd. The public is leaning towards the trend play in N. IOWA. Unless Wespun can get easy penetration versus the AGGIES zone. 3 stars Nee Mexico 77-71FTs seal the deal in the end
BROWN AND WILLIAMS combined for 44 Pts and after the 15 minute mark in second half New Mexico locked down on defense and made N IOWA a jump shooting team from distance. Northern IOWA just went 6-25 from 3 point line as it looked as if their legs were heavy.

BOISE State has a nice group of players that can fill it up. They have better shooters in F Duncan and G Drmic. However, I see a trait with the Broncos that makes me go to the window on the Ducks. They wilt against teams that really challenge on defense. This is a big difference between the teams. I just don’t see BOISE State stopping Oregon to do what they like,to do. That is play pressure defense and be quicker on the ball and own the boards. Broncos have to hit 10 threes and hope Oregon just flat out sleep walks like they Did in in first half of Navy game. Won’t happen better team is Oregon and I Have them as 2.5 Away and 6 at Home pt favorites which is 5.5 Pts in hand.

I’m not a believer of the Longhorns even with Coach Smart. UNC is the best team in the country now with PG Paige back. What makes UNc dangerous this year is two things. Their 3 point shooting and defense. TEXAS really is tough to back because they can go on dry spells on offense. UNC will be too quick and athletic to defend here. Not worried about the 5 points. I will be surprised if they come within 10 points by the 10 minute mark in the second half. We lose our GUARANTEE thanks to a TEXAS team that shot 12-24 from 3 point line as TEXAS upsets UNC 84-82…UNC for some reason brought the Kevin Durant out of the Longhorns scrubs. It took them over two years to accomplish such a feat and they waited for my GUARANTEE to do it. We LOSE this one players but finish 2-1 and just below the money.
