Vegas Sphere, Quick Overview

For now you can choose to see two shows at The Sphere Las Vegas: U2 & a video called Postcard From Earth.

U2 – 4 shows remain before the U2 residency ends.  Feb 23, Feb 24, Mar 1, Mar 2.  This is a live concert and tickets are expensive.  We see them starting in the $600’s on resale apps.

Postcard From Earth – An immersive 50-minute video with stunning visuals starting at $69. Immersive means the screen spans your entire field of vision, giving you the experience of being in the scenes rather than looking at a screen. The video tells the story of evolution on a screen that covers seemingly half of the interior wall of an 18,000-seat arena.

Our Postcard From Earth ticket said 7pm.  Once onsite we learned that the Atrium displays and concessions (including alcoholic drinks) start at 7pm.  The actual video started an hour later at 8pm.  The Atrium displays are also striking visuals, but we felt they were ill-suited for large crowds.  We think the entire evening experience is, without a doubt, worth doing.

Postcard From Earth plays one or more times each day that U2 is not playing.

Parking or Walking – Parking is not a good situation on The Sphere property.  We suggest parking at the Palazzo or Venetian (which is not free) and walking.  The path is marked as “The Sphere” on overhead signs inside Venetian.  The signs guide you through the casino, through the Sands Convention Center, across Koval Lane via an overhead enclosed walkway, and into The Sphere.  Walking from the Wynn works fine, but is an outdoor trek.
